Michael Bickett

A graduate of Marion County High School, Mr. Bickett graduated from the University of Louisville with a Master’s Degree in Gifted Education and Principal Certification, with an undergraduate degree in Political Science. He also has an Associate Degree in Catechesis and has been named to the Elizabethtown Community College Hall of Fame.

Mr. Bickett comes to St. Martha with nearly three decades of experience in education – both from the public school system and in Catholic schools.

Before becoming principal of St. Martha in 2016, Mr. Bickett served as principal at St. Joseph Catholic School in Bardstown where he also taught middle school religion. Prior to that, Mr. Bickett was a teacher and Athletic Director at Assumption High School.

The best part of teaching for him is having the opportunity each day to shape and nurture the spiritual growth and academic successes of young people for the future.

Mr. Bickett loves to sing and play guitar, especially with his family and students. He’s also a big baseball fan who cheers on the Cincinnati Reds.  He and his wife Rosie have one daughter, Olivia.

"The best part of teaching is having the opportunity each day to shape and nurture the spiritual growth and academic successes of young people for the future."
