Q & A with Kathy Krekel

Highlight of the year:

For me the highlight of the year is seeing how much students have grown and changed by the end of the school year. The amount of growth in a whole school year is amazing.

Passion:

My passion is working with kids and helping them become the best version of themselves. I also enjoy reading and traveling.

Favorite part of teaching:

My favorite part of teaching is getting to know my students; all of them are unique and extraordinary in their own way.

Favorite teaching memory:

One of my favorite things about teaching elementary is getting handwritten notes and desk signs from the students!

Favorite thing about St. Martha:

My favorite thing about St. Martha is the community of teachers, staff and families that come together to support each other through good times and bad.

My hope for my students:

My hope for my students is for them to be happy lifelong learners who rely on their faith for solace and comfort.

Fun fact:

I love hiking and visiting National Parks. I have been to 13 of them.

Family is the Best Word

"The teachers are really vested in the kids long after they leave their classes. Family is the best word to describe St. Martha and prepared is the best word to describe my son after his time there.”
