Holly Oyler

Holly Oyler came to St. Martha after spending twelve years at St. Simon Jude and St. Nicholas. She has over seventeen years of teaching experience with preschool children. Holly studied at the University of Louisville and earned her Child Development Associate Degree. She also has her Commonwealth Child Care Credential from the Cabinet for Health and Family Services. Holly creates a classroom atmosphere that is fun and adventurous.

"Each child learns differently, both physically and mentally, so I like to establish different learning techniques based on the children's needs."

Q & A with Mrs. Oyler

Highlight of the year:

“Thanksgiving Feast” when all the preschoolers come together to remember the true meaning of Thanksgiving.

Passion:

Incorporating fun in the classroom along with learning, so the children love to come to school.

Philosophy:

Each child learns differently, both physically and mentally, so I like to establish different learning techniques based on the children’s needs.

Favorite part of teaching:

Watching the children grow as individuals and to see them so proud of themselves.

Favorite teaching memory:

The Spring Fling and watching the children enjoy all the festivities around Derby.

Favorite thing about St. Martha:

St. Martha feels more like family; like you belong here. Administration, Staff, Families and Parish.

My hope for my students:

To love school as they grow.

Fun fact:

I love to be outdoors and enjoy nature. Spending time with my family and friends at the lake or just walking the Parklands.

Family is the Best Word

"The teachers are really vested in the kids long after they leave their classes. Family is the best word to describe St. Martha and prepared is the best word to describe my son after his time there.”
