Q & A with Mrs. Brumfield
Highlight of the year:
I like conducting independent research projects that allow each student to learn more about a figure who interests them. So far this year we’ve conducted research projects with the Chrome Books on Greek Mythology, European Explorers, and figures from the American Revolution.
I love discussing history with students and answering their questions. Questions from students remain one of the best parts of teaching.
Favorite part of teaching:
My favorite thing is whenever I’m able to show students that history can be fun, engaging and endlessly fascinating.
Favorite teaching memory:
My favorite memories involve helping students who have difficulty with other subjects or teachers, but they somehow clicked with me.
Favorite thing about St. Martha:
I really like the faculty and the positive atmosphere.
My hope for my students:
I hope each student becomes impacted and fully interested in at least one subject and learns more about it his/her life.
In my free time I enjoy reading, running and traveling.
